(PRWEB) September 13, 2006 -- Everett Bege, an 89-year-old World War II veteran, has signed to do a talk show. Yes, he'll amble out on his cane to his desk to the sound of "Old Man River" and will have trouble seeing the cue cards but it's all real. Everett at 89 is the name of the show and even though he wears hearing aids in both ears and knows little about his guests or current music or movies he will perservere. A big fan of old time radio, his band will go out to breaks with Glenn Miller and other old favorites. William, his son said "It'll be hilarious, but it's just him being himself".

The 30 minute show will begin filming in November but the pilot will be on Youtube in about 2 weeks. Everett played drums in the Navy Band from 1933-1953 and saw a lot of action in the war. You'll hear stories and his opinions about everything from wrestling which he says "has too many women and too much talking" to politics and everything in between.

William Bege,President of Mantalk Inc. says "It's the perfect vehicle for the Retirement Living channel or any network trying to reach the untapped senior crowd.Even young people will watch as evidenced by the Youtube senior who got 300,000 views in a week, mostly from young viewers. He's funnier than Jay!"
