Wakefield Development Company Wins Top Honors From North Carolina Home Builders Association
Bedford at Falls River named "Master-Planned Community of the Year."
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) September 13, 2006 -- The North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA) awarded top honors for a second time to Wakefield Development Company for its Bedford at Falls River Community, winning the 2006 STARS Award for “Master-Planned Community of the Year.” Bedford was presented with the same honor in 2004.
“We’re proud and honored to accept the award for Master-Planned Community of the Year from NCHBA for Bedford at Falls River,” said John Myers, president of Wakefield Development Company. “Bedford has been on the forefront of vision and innovation with community developments and we’re excited to be recognized for this award again.”
With an impressive seven STARS awards received, Wakefield Development Company garnered more awards than any other builder or developer. Their Burlington community, Mackintosh on the Lake, won four STARS awards, the most among any other community in competition.
This year, in addition to “Master-Planned Community of the Year”, Wakefield Development Company accepted a total of seven STARS awards for three of their communities including Mackintosh on the Lake, Renaissance Park and another award for Bedford for “Best Radio Commercial.” The four STARS won by Mackintosh were “Best Brochure for a Community with a Sales Price over $500,000,” “Best Billboard for a Builder or Developer,” “Best Color Ad over a Full Page for any Priced Community” and an award for “Special Marketing Projects.” Renaissance Park won an Outstanding Achievement Award for “Best Color Ad Full Page or Under for any Priced Community.” Wakefield Development Company also won a STARS award for “Best Newsletter for an Associate, Builder, Developer or Realty Company.”
The STARS Award for Community of the Year was judged on the implementation and creativity of a marketing plan, cost and continuity of all marketing phases and overall sales success. The judging criteria of the advertising awards included concept, layout, execution and overall design, and presentation as it relates to the target market.
The NCHBA STARS Awards event took place on Thursday, August 24, 2006, at the Westin Hotel in Charlotte during the Fourth Annual 21st Century Building Expo and Conference. The event strives to turn the spotlight on the outstanding achievements of the industry’s builders, Realtors, on-site salespeople and media and advertising professionals.
