Mammoth Networks Delivers DSL to CLECs

Mammoth Networks has expanded its DSL offering to CLECs selling voice services within the company's 11 state coverage area. Competitive Local Exchange Carriers can provision DSL at a wholesale level using the Mammoth product, allowing the CLEC to deliver bundled voice and data services to their End Users.

Casper, WY (PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- Mammoth Networks has expanded its DSL offering to CLECs selling voice services within the company's 11 state coverage area. Competitive Local Exchange Carriers can provision DSL at a wholesale level using the Mammoth product, allowing the CLEC to deliver bundled voice and data services to their End Users.

CLECs desiring to sell DSL bundled with voice services can select Mammoth when provisioning the wholesale voice service from Qwest. Mammoth's DSL product can be delivered over Qwest Platform Plus lines and as a standalone service, with either product billed to the CLEC on their wholesale invoice. Mammoth's CLEC product line is structured to allow the CLEC to order DSL loops via standard wholesale interfaces with Qwest.

Mammoth's DSL is based on the Qwest ADSL platform, allowing the company to deliver DSL wherever the Regional Bell offers DSL service. The CLEC orders a Qwest DSL loop on top of a Qwest wholesale voice line, providing the CLEC with a single-source for DSL and voice. Mammoth then provisions Internet access on the DSL and provides assistance to the CLEC's technical support, acting as a transparent Service Provider to the CLEC.

"A number of CLECs approached us, wanting to sell DSL to their existing customer base," says Brian Worthen, who oversees product development at Mammoth. "We have a CLEC background, so this was a natural fit. Mammoth speaks their language."

Worthen explained that Mammoth's product line can assist CLECs to retain their traditional voice users, who may be shopping for a single-source provider for voice and data. The company has recognized the increased demand for bundled services, and is able to deliver the product with a full understanding of the CLEC ordering and provisioning process.

Mammoth Networks is an aggregator of data services serving nine Western states. Mammoth enables its Partners by erasing the invisible lines of the telecommunications structure, and leveling the playing field for Service Providers. The privately-held company is based in Gillette, Wyoming.
