Hemet, CA (PRWEB) September 13, 2006 -- Red Flag Warning may be a relative newcomer to the high-profile LA music scene, but on their debut CD release, You’ve Been Warned (Chill Will Productions), they surrounded themselves with some veteran talent. Most notably, Nick Cherry, Owner, producer of Sinewave Studios in Hemet, CA.
“Ryan Ferguson a.k.a. Booger (former front man for What 4?) came to my home about a year ago with Red Flag’s demo tape,” says Rob Snyder, Owner Chill Will Prodcutions. “There was a song on there called ‘Like a Line,’ and I absolutely loved it. I decided to take the band on and from there it’s been nothing but a rollercoaster ride.”
That personal connection led to Cherry, working together in the Los Angeles area. Booger’s impressive songwriting abilities soon inspired Cherry to not only produce Red Flag Warning’s CD, but to also assist with promoting the band in the Southern California area
“Red Flag Warning takes you back to the days when punk was punk and mohawks were a staple in the scene.” Says Snyder. “Now, only formed 9 months ago, they have taken the scene by storm.”
From the first sell out show to touring in the SoCal area they have created a nation of punks following them up and down the west coast. Currently doing dates with The Binge, the band is on their way to make history in the punk scene and give people a reason to tune in. Be a part of the Red Flag Regime and look for them soon on the Warped tour.
Booger, Skens, and Skoob are ready to bring it back to the fans by taking the old school punk sound and reviving its melodic sound, infectious grooves and hooks that have led them to be compared to icons like Bad Religion, Alkaline Trio, Green Day and just like to sneak in a little Misfits.
Look for the debut CD to be available nationally October 16th, 2006
