Global Traveler adds 16 pages starting October 2006 and commissions independent reader study from MediaMark Research.
(PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- Global Traveler increases its page count due to overwhelming readership during the first half of 2006.
Following a highly successful first half of 2006, Global Traveler Magazine will increase its monthly page count by 16 pages. The expanded content will include articles on adventure travel, traveling with family and spas. “Every travel marketer knows that business travelers also make the best vacation travelers. These “Frequent International Travelers” are looking for ways to get more out of their business trips by incorporating time with family, significant others and/or friends,” says Francis X. Gallagher, CEO of Global Traveler.
Global Adventure will cover destinations within 4 hours flying time of major international destinations and will mix highly challenging activities with more low-key adventure ideas. Its purpose is to provide business travelers with exciting ways to make the most of overseas travel. Family Business will cover how best to combine business trips and short getaways with the family or significant other, while The Spa Report will focus on urban and resort spas around the world.
“I am so excited with the success that Global Traveler has had,” says Lisa Matte, the magazine’s editor in chief. “We have always taken an holistic approach to business travel, understanding that business travelers have a diverse set of interests - from food & wine to exotic destinations.”
In addition to this exciting development, Global Traveler has contracted with MediaMark Research to conduct an independent survey of reader demographics and travel habits.
“MRI is honored to be the firm selected to independently measure this audience,” says Erica Bartelstone, Account Executive.
