Pacific Continental Securities, the specialist private client stockbroker and fund manager has as opened an office in Melbourne, Australia to provide investors with access to derivatives trading.

We are confident that our range of products and easy to use award-winning platform ‘Pacific Trader’ will satisfy most clients’ trading needs.

The office is headed by Paul Hill, derivatives manager, contracts for difference and foreign exchange. Paul has extensive experience having spent six years working in derivatives, predominately CFDs and FX in the UK and Australia.

Paul Hill, derivatives manager, CFDs and foreign exchange, says: “I have monitored the development and growth of CFDs and other services from a wide range of providers in Australia. We are looking to benefit from this insight and offer a bespoke approach to CFD trading with packages suited to individual styles of trading - rather than dictating a set package to all clients. Our services will allow clients to trade a wide range of international financial markets all from the comfort of their PC or telephone, with the added security of account managers on hand to assist every step of the way.

The Melbourne office officially opened for CFD and FX trading in June 2006 and the response from clients has already sealed an important addition to the market in Australia following on from Pacific Continentals successes in London and their other global offices.

Paul Hill continues, “We are confident that our range of products and easy to use award-winning platform ‘Pacific Trader’ will satisfy most clients’ trading needs.”

Steven Griggs, managing director, Pacific Continental Securities added:

“We’ve seen a significant growth in demand for derivatives trading facilities and have launched our new Australian office to provide investors with access to a new approach in derivatives trading.

“Our free to use Pacific Trader trading platform allows investors to take positions in contracts for difference CFDs as well as Margin FX Spot and Forward Contracts. “Other features available on the platform include daily strategies, in depth technical analysis and a fully customised charting package.”
