The Oxford Princeton Programme Announces New Courses for the Shipping and Oil Trading Industries

Exemplifying the company’s commitment to superior energy training, The Oxford Princeton Programme has created two new courses: Oil Trading Orientation and Introduction to Shipping Terminology.

Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- The Oxford Princeton Programme, Inc, the world’s leading provider of training solutions to the energy, commodity and derivatives industries, has announced the addition of two new courses to their current and upcoming schedules. Exemplifying the company’s commitment to superior energy training, The Oxford Princeton Programme has created two new courses: Oil Trading Orientation and Introduction to Shipping Terminology.

“We pride ourselves in covering every aspect of the industries that we serve, no matter how basic nor how advanced,” explains Clara Lippert, president and CEO of The Oxford Princeton Programme, Inc. “Our organization takes delegate feedback very seriously. We saw a definite need to add an Introduction to Shipping Terminology course to our programme.”

Designed for non-specialist staff in the shipping industry Introduction to Shipping Terminology is a one-day course which provides an overview of shipping knowledge. The course was designed to provide delegates with the terminology, processes, and details of the various roles within the shipping world. Topics will include legislation, freight contracts, and negotiations.

Introduction to Shipping Terminology will run 16 November 2006, in London, UK.

Oil Trading Orientation was designed as a three-day workshop. Delegates will be provided with the fundamental knowledge needed for crude oil and petroleum product trading. The course allows for an exploration of crude oil quality, product blending and specifications, market fundamentals, technical analysis, key trading strategies, pricing mechanisms and the mechanics of trading and operations.

“In any industry, it is crucial to comprehend the fundamentals of the business,” says Lippert. “Both Oil Trading Orientation and Introduction to Shipping Terminology were created to enhance delegates’ knowledge of the industry in which they work. We feel these courses will give delegates and the companies they work for a competitive edge, giving them the critical knowledge and processes used day-to-day in the business.”

The workshop will include an overview of terminology, hedging case studies, and crude oil and products trading simulations. Oil Trading Orientation is an accredited course which awards 24 CPE credits.

Oil Trading Orientation will run from 22 - 24 May 2007, in Houston, TX.
