Michael H., Music Journalist, Shatterheart Vocalist, Turned Poet & Writer, Launches New Website
Writer and journalist Michael Escritt launches new website for music, poetry and photography. Crash Test Dummies' Brad Roberts helps the launch by offering a free stream of an unreleased song.
Arnhem, Netherlands (PRWEB) September 14, 2006 -- Following a spell of editing work and ongoing work on his debut novel, music journalist and one-time Shatterheart frontman Michael Escritt has ditched his surname, relocated to Holland, and emerged with a new website, Locus Ceruleus.
The new site is a showcase for (the temporarily named) Michael H's poetry, essays, writing, and photography.
Far from being a vanity project, Locus Ceruleus also includes a nicely designed Audio Lounge section, which promises to feature exclusive free streams from favorite band's and artists. To celebrate the launch of www.locusceruleus.kk5.org , Michael's friend and collaborator Brad Roberts (of Crash Test Dummies) has made a brand new, as yet unreleased song available, entitled 'It's A Small Town'.
A sister site, 'The Blanker Pages' will be launched later in the Fall.
"The Blanker Pages will be a different beast from Locus Ceruleus in that I won't be the only writer, and it will be almost entirely music-centred," says Michael, speaking from his new home in the Netherlands. "I'm hoping it will become a forum, in the old-sense, for music lovers to post their own reviews and thoughts. New and established bands will be able to showcase their work. I'm basically trying to create the kind of music journalism that I'd like to read myself."
In the meantime, future additions to Locus Ceruleus will include new e-book's of Michael's work, and downloadable episodes of an as-yet-untitled audio project.
"I'm writing scripts for this thing at the moment. It's an old-fashioned radio drama, and it's set in an abandoned theater, and that's all I'm saying for now," "I certainly have a few ideas as far as casting goes, but I'm not approaching anyone until the writing phase is complete."
The search for a new surname, however, goes on.
