Inmagic has appointed Paul J. Puzzanghera President and CEO. Inmagic was founded in 1983 and is based in Woburn, Massachusetts. More than 5,000 organizations around the globe use Inmagic software.
Woburn, MA (PRWEB) September 13, 2006 -- Inmagic, Inc. has named Paul J. Puzzanghera as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Puzzanghera also has joined Inmagic’s board of directors. He has served as Inmagic’s Vice President of Professional Services since coming to the company in 2003. Phillip L. Green, who has been Inmagic’s President and CEO, has been named Vice Chairman. He will remain in a full-time operational role with the company.
“For more than two decades, Inmagic has been a pioneer helping organizations tap the value of their unstructured information assets. Our technology combines easy-to-use search and reporting functionality for end users with the information structuring, metadata management and presentation tools demanded by information professionals,” said Puzzanghera. “We are well-positioned to continue delivering innovative software and services that enable organizations to manage their critical information assets. I’m honored and excited to lead those efforts to the next level.”
Prior to joining Inmagic, Puzzanghera founded and was President and CEO of Legacy Technology, an information technology services firm specializing in the implementation of data warehousing and decision support solutions. Legacy delivered sophisticated solutions to nearly one-third of the Fortune 500. In 1999 Legacy merged with AnswerThink Consulting Group. Puzzanghera led the development of AnswerThink’s integrated Business Intelligence practice and served as part of the executive management team during their successful IPO. Earlier in his career he was a Director for Information Resources, Inc., a provider of consumer and retail information, where he led the development of a variety of analytic systems for diverse clients such as the World Bank, Procter & Gamble and Sun Oil. Puzzanghera holds an AB in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Green noted that “Over the past three years, Paul has shown tremendous leadership in transforming Inmagic from a company focused primarily on developing packaged software solutions to a company which routinely delivers enterprise-scale solutions integrating technology, business analysis, implementation and project management skills. I am confident that the combination of Paul’s leadership skill and his success at leading fast-growth technology companies will help take Inmagic to new levels of success.”
More than 5,000 organizations around the world including Newsweek, NASA, Cephalon and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts use Inmagic software. In an information-driven world where professionals in virtually every industry need swift access to pertinent information assets, Inmagic is redefining the way that organizations manage those assets and make it easy to search, browse, retrieve and share them. Since 2004 it has introduced Inmagic® Genie, an integrated library system with advanced Web-based workflow, and Inmagic® Presto, a Web-based research asset management system for complex information environments.
Inmagic’s Chairman of the Board David Darsch pointed out two of Inmagic’s core strengths: its customer base and its technology. “A large number of Inmagic customers have been with us through multiple products over the years, as their needs and our capabilities both have evolved,” commented Darsch. “Yet we also continue to attract many new customers who are drawn by the combination of Inmagic’s ease of use and its powerful functionality.”
