MidCity Office Furniture Announces 'Stampede for Support'
MidCity Office Furniture would like to announce their first annual “Stampede for Support” in partnership with Meals on Wheels, Big Brother, Big Sister and Variety Club on Thursday, September 14, 2006. As part of the “Stampede for Support”, volunteers from the charitable organizations will be pushing MidCity’s 8 foot tall, 250lb bison from Dunn Tire Park, down Main Street to the Anchor Bar. The purpose of the stampede is to raise awareness and funds for each of the charities. Upon arrival at the Anchor Bar, MidCity will host a check presentation ceremony followed by our favorite food donated by the Anchor Bar, buffalo wings.

- Volunteers from Meals on Wheels, Big Brother, Big Sister and Variety Club will be pushing “Butch” from Dunn Tire Park up Main Street to Anchor Bar.
- Volunteers will be selling chocolate bison as a fundraiser to onlookers while transporting “Butch” to the Anchor Bar
- Butch is not a part of the “Herd About Buffalo” campaign and is much larger
- Photo opportunities will be available
- Estimated arrival at Anchor Bar for MidCity Office Furniture check presentation in 12:00PM
- After lunch, “Butch” will be transported back to his pasture inside the Tri-Main Center until his next public appearance.

“We initially intended have a photo booth and raise money for the charities at the National Buffalo Wing Festival,” says Kurt Amico, President of MidCity Office Furniture. “Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and we found a creative way to help raise money and awareness for the charities. This should gain a lot of attention for Meals on Wheels, Big Brother, Big Sister and Variety Club and help them out.”
