Markham Union Masonic Lodge Number 87 is one of the oldest Masonic Lodges, in Canada, at 149 years old. Situated in the Markham and Unionville area of Ontario the Lodge is seeing the rural landscape going urban. Markham and Unionville both began life as small agricultural communities, but with the influx of new Canadians from all over the world, the lodge now finds itself sitting in the midst of the high tech capital of Canada.

Markham Union Masonic Lodge Number 87 is one of the oldest Masonic Lodges, in Canada, at 149 years old. "These are exciting times for us", says Jim Crawford the Master of Markham Union Lodge. " The lodge will be 150 years old next year, we have just gone on line with our own web site, and are looking forward to all the positive changes that we are in the midst of presently. Markham Union Lodge still has its strong links to the past, we have our traditions, but we are also embracing the future".
Masonry is all about making good men better. The tried and true traditions of the lodge are just as important today as they were 149 years ago. The Lodge offers a male fraternity, that gives mutual support and comfort to it's members, while at the same time challenging them and equipping them to grow as persons.
