Bill won the prestigious World Champion of backgammon title at Monte Carlo in 1983, and again in 1987. He also won the Pro-Am at the Bahamas 1993, and the Istanbul World Cup 1994.

Bill is a noted backgammon author, having produced numerous titles on the game. His works include “Advanced Backgammon (Volumes 1 and 2)”, “Backgammon for Serious Players”, “Backgammon for Winners”, and “501 Essential Backgammon Problems”.

Bill has also published a number of books on chess, including “Easy Endgame Strategies” and “Master Checkmate Strategy”, in addition to being a previous winner of the US Speed Chess tournament.
