Weighing Terminal Now Equipped with Fill Application Module

The new Fill-560 Application Module from METTLER TOLEDO adds advanced features to the standard target control capabilities of the IND560 weighing terminal, including seven new sequences, process control parameters and input/output control for both the weigh-in and the weigh-out cycle.

(PRWEB) September 16, 2006 -- The new Fill-560 Application Module from METTLER TOLEDO adds advanced features to the standard target control capabilities of the IND560 weighing terminal, including seven new sequences, process control parameters and input/output control for both the weigh-in and the weigh-out cycle.

Filling and Dispensing Flexibility

The Fill-560 supports single material and multiple material (up to four) filling and dispensing applications. The contents of the container can be dispensed or dosed in a precise, controlled manner into single or multiple containers for the weigh-out cycle. The operator may program the controls to repeat the process “n” number of times and trigger an auxiliary output.

Improve Process Quality and Personnel Efficiency

The Automatic Spill Adjustment capability provides a means of continuously optimizing the weighing process. Utilizing the Learn Mode, the Feed and Spill values for the material are calculated to help alleviate waste and increase throughput. Operators can work on other tasks by enabling the Automatic Sequence Control allowing the terminal full control, or the Semi-Automatic Mode can be enabled focusing the operator’s input for the critical points in the process.

Save Money with Advanced Control

Valves and feeders can be directly controlled from the IND560; discrete inputs provide sequence control from local or remote locations. The SmartTracTM graphical display provides a visual representation of the application. “The Fill-560 Application Module fills the gap in process weighing for the fill, blend and dump sequences commonly requested in our industry,” comments Product Manager, Adrienne Olwert. “The configurable user-interface and advanced PLC and I/O Communications integrated with the Fill-560 ensure a success for users.”

Cost Effective Programming and Setup

The InSiteTM configuration tool provides an means to configure the new sequences and process parameters for specific application needs as well as create a backup and restore copy of the setup. Complex and costly programming is not needed by utilizing the advanced features integrated in the Fill-560 software.

METTLER TOLEDO is recognized as the global leader in weighing solutions for industrial, retail and laboratory applications. The company plans to continue its focus on developing customer-oriented weighing solutions that harness the power and flexibility of the leading
technologies.
