Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) September 21, 2006 -- DPPpress (www.dpppress.com) and DigitalPulp Publishing (www.digitalpulppublishing.com), an eBook publishing and distribution company, are continuing to grow their online bookstore.
One of the most current offerings in the DPPstore is Truth & Tragedy by first-time novelist Shayne Rivers.
Truth & Tragedy is a two-part story about the saga of a southern family in Civil War era North Carolina. In Part One, we are introduced to Vincent Hart, a soldier who battles through personal demons, dark secrets, war, and scandal. Facing down death and fear, he braves through a war torn countryside to get home to his true love, Vivian. Vince tests his will and the strength of his pride, but will that be enough to carry him through? Will he ever know the son that was taken from him too soon?
Part Two introduces us to Vince’s illegitimate son, Chance Hart. Upon returning to claim his family name and fortune, young Chance learns the meaning of love, trust, family, and bravery as he discovers his true heritage.
From scribblings in literally hundreds of notebooks over the years to her first IBM computer in 2001, Truth and Tragedy was the first full-length novel to come from Christy, AKA Shayne Rivers. Refusing to be defined or pinned to one genre, she not only writes about historical romance but delves into other genres as well, all with the same passion and emotion that is not overly done. In her spare time, she is a rock n roll journalist following her passion for music, as well as dabbling in songwriting. Now, twenty-six she still aspires to a writer in the leagues of Margaret Mitchell, Author of Gone with the Wind, and Cassie Edwards, author of some of the best Native American Romance novels ever.
