Backfence.com Launches Ashburn and Sterling Hyperlocal Community Sites in Virginia
Ninth and Tenth Sites doubles growth in three months. DC Metro now boasts highest local coverage of hyperlocal sites in the country.

(www.backfence.com) has launched Backfence Ashburn and Backfence Sterling hyperlocal community Web sites, bringing the total number of Backfence sites in the Washington, DC area to ten. The sites feature local news, blogs, photographs, reviews and events contributed by members of the community.

Backfence Ashburn includes a variety of member-posted information from items about the Washington Redskins’ training camp (located in Ashburn) to recently being named by CNN as one of the best cities in which to retire and live. Backfence Sterling includes posts on the boom in school enrollments, traffic routes to avoid, and updates on the latest hazards caused by recent flooding. The Web site also features restaurant reviews by members of the local community, baby-sitting resources and more. Also, local businesses are automatically listed in the business directory and can purchase enhanced listings with business descriptions, hours, photos and other features.
