Online Prescription Intermediaries Provide Safe and Legitimate Medications to Seniors

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in a press release on September 6th, 2006, said it stands by its warning to Americans not to buy drugs from Manitoba-based Internet pharmacies, claiming the drugs are counterfeit. Prescription Drug Intermediaries such as Le Pharmacy.com are a safer route.

(PRWEB) September 20, 2006 -- The U.S.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in a press release on September 6th, 2006, said it stands by its warning to Americans not to buy drugs from Manitoba-based Internet pharmacies, claiming the drugs are counterfeit. The FDA issued a news release warning against ordering 10 specific prescription drugs from at least 10 websites. Buysafedrugs.info has outlined the issues in detail. Prescription Drug Intermediaries such as Le Pharmacy.com are a safer route.

“Prescription Drug Intermediaries insure my drugs are safe” says Mr. Bud Axelrod. “I recently purchased Domperidone through Le Pharmacy.com, and they only deal with licensed pharmacists providing branded and sealed medication.”

The FDA tested Lipitor, Crestor, Celebrex, Zetia, Diovan, Hyzaar, Actonel, Nexium, Arimidex, and Propecia, and found they are counterfeit, according to Dr. Randall Lutter, the FDA's associate commissioner of policy and planning. They weren't made by recognized manufacturers and don't contain the correct concentrations of drugs. In response to these charges, the Internet pharmacies based in Manitoba have suspended the sales of these medications.

“The Canadian drug supply from Canada is suspect” declares Jason Nishmas, Marketing Director for Le Pharmacy.com. “It is a fact that the traditional Canadian online pharmacies cannot supply from Canada and have gone overseas. Look at any site and you see a variety of countries. They admit to inadequate Canadian supply. Unfortunately they have gone to any source and cannot guarantee the quality. It is unfortunate that they have chosen profit over safety.”

The online prescription industry relies heavily on trust. Pharmacies inside Canada have taken advantage of this fact and have created a situation in which they can’t be relied upon anymore. Customers buying prescription medicine from Manitoba based pharmacies were under the impression that the medications were coming from Canada when in fact these companies outsource to Russia, India, Mexico and New Zealand. These countries do not offer legitimacy and purity of the medications.

This situation is avoided by using Online Prescription Intermediaries such as Le Pharmacy.com, where they carry no inventory of their own, and are insuring the best quality at competitive prices. The medications are provided through Europe and in their original, brand-name, and sealed packages. This assures that the customer is receiving non-counterfeit branded medications, and the drugs have not been repackaged or re-dispensed.

“ When dealing with one reliable source, it insures that our products are being filled and packaged in one place, backed by the European Union’s Health Board, rather than being trans-shipped from India or Russia where satisfaction and reliability are hurt in the process” says Jason Nishmas of LePharmacy.com

Drug counterfeiting defrauds consumers and can expose them to products containing unknown, ineffective, or harmful ingredients. Counterfeit drugs may be toxic or contain doses that are too small to treat a medical condition, or so large that they could endanger the health of the user. Because of the dangers posed by counterfeit drugs, the FDA aggressively investigates all instances of drug counterfeiting.

LePharmacy.com is a premier mail order intermediary for brand name, highest quality health products, at great savings from typical U.S. prices. Prescriptions are required from a doctor’s visit. All prescriptions are individually reviewed and approved by licensed doctors and pharmacists and the drugs are all approved through the standards applied by the governments of Canada and the European Union.
