Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) September 20, 2006 -- David Brawer, Partner, Brawer & Hauptman Architects has volunteered for the Preservation in Residence program to help New Orleans residents displaced by Katrina to return to their homes. The Preservation Resources Center of New Orleans in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation has established the Preservationist in Residency program.

The program provides homeowners with guidance and a preliminary assessment of the damage to their homes. A detailed property condition assessment is provided to the homeowner explaining in laymen’s terms the condition of the property. The program began August 8. Each week a team of four volunteers from throughout the country are volunteering four days of their time to help in this worthwhile initiative. Dave is scheduled in New Orleans in October.

“One of our firm’s key initiatives, says David Brawer, is to give back to the community by being involved in activities that promote social and environmental responsibility. I feel privileged to be able to participate in this program.”
