Deadline Looms for Filing Hepatitis A Vaccine Injury Claims

December 1, 2006 is the deadline for filing most claims for compensation resulting from adverse reactions to the hepatitis A vaccine occurring on or after December 1, 1996.

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) September 20, 2006 –- The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program began providing compensation for serious injuries caused by the hepatitis A vaccine beginning on December 1, 2004. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program was established by Congress to provide compensation to those injured by adverse reactions to common vaccinations. Under the general filing deadlines for a claim under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, the claim must be filed within 3 years after the first symptom of the vaccine injury and within two years of a death resulting from a vaccination. However, claims for injuries or deaths caused by the hepatitis A vaccine that occurred on or after December 1, 1996 that do not meet the general filing deadline must be filed by December 1, 2006.

If you were injured as the result of an adverse reaction to the hepatitis A vaccine, do not delay in pursing a claim or you may be forever barred from doing so.

The trial lawyers of the Maglio Christopher & Toale Law Firm represent people across the country that have suffered serious injuries as the result of an adverse reaction to a vaccination. More information about the Firm is available at http://www.sarasotalaw.com.
