Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 21, 2006
After nearly four years in the Minneapolis Warehouse District, the country’s largest showroom of modern Finnish design has moved. On September 18, FinnStyle (http://www.FinnStyle.com) opened its new doors at Gaviidae Common, in the center of Minneapolis downtown retail.
In the popular Gaviidae skyway, thousands of shoppers will have the opportunity to experience modern Finnish design every day. No other store outside of Finland offers the breadth and depth of products from both the well-established producers—like iittala (http://www.finnstyle.com/iittala.html) and Marimekko (http://www.finnstyle.com/iittala.html)—as well as the works of up-and-coming young Finnish designers.
FinnStyle and its website FinnStyle.com have been operating from the Minneapolis Warehouse District since November 2002. The business has received numerous accolades from both local and national media and is frequently cited as one of the best places to shop in the Twin Cities. FinnStyle’s reputation even extends to Finland, where designers refer to the Minneapolis store and website as the best place to introduce new products to the U.S. market.
“Nearly every customer who enters the store comments on how special FinnStyle is,” says owner Ben Horn. “We feel it’s time to move up to a location like Gaviidae where Finland’s incomparable designs can reach a much wider audience.”
FinnStyle opened at Gaviidae on Monday, September 18, with grand opening events scheduled for Saturday, September 30, through Friday, October 6.
