Commissure and Amicas Partner for Product Integration at Massachusetts General Hospital and Waterbury Hospital
The partnership will enable Commissure’s speech recognition reporting and workflow orchestrator software—known as RadWhere™ Suite—to work seamlessly with the AMICAS® Vision Series™ RIS and PACS solutions, as well as allow for multi-site worklist management.
NEW YORK CITY, New York – September 20, 2006 -- Commissure, Inc. recently announced a partnership with AMICAS, Inc., a leader in radiology and medical image and information management solutions. The partnership will enable Commissure’s speech recognition reporting and workflow orchestrator software—known as RadWhere™ Suite—to work seamlessly with the AMICAS® Vision Series™ RIS and PACS solutions, as well as allow for multi-site worklist management.

Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut are the first two healthcare facilities to utilize the product integration between Commissure and AMICAS. Massachusetts General Hospital is the third oldest general hospital in the United States and a world-renowned medical center. Massachusetts General Hospital has also served as an incubator for advanced radiology informatics software with both Commissure and AMICAS having origins at the facility. Waterbury Hospital was founded over a hundred years ago and was awarded the highest honor in patient care by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
