Chamber of E-Commerce Launches National Face-to-Face Sales Organization

Unique organization targets small and medium sized businesses that are typically considered infeasible for dedicated in-house sales teams.

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 20, 2006 -- In an unusual move for a technology company, the Chamber of E-Commerce , a subsidiary of Web2 Corp (OTCBB: WBTO) devoted to simplifying Internet business for small companies, today has begun building an old-school, face-to-face national sales force targeting small and medium-sized businesses (SMB). The sales organization known as the Chamber Representative Program is rolling out nationwide to reach small businesses and entrepreneurs with an array of products and services (http://www.chamberecommerce.com/reps). The Chamber is pursuing a human sales force to bring Internet products and other business services to a market that it believes is underserved by suppliers.

“In so many cases, the reassurance and personal touch of a sales person can be the difference in adoption of new technologies,” said William Mobley, President and CEO of the Chamber’s parent company Web2 Corp. “We have built a company by making technology, particularly web technology, simpler and easier to understand and put into service. What we have found is that just a little bit of human communication in the process dissipates the fears and doubt that many small business owners have when it comes to the Internet. That was the genesis of the Chamber Representative program.”

“This country runs on the small entrepreneur,” said Mobley. “Every day you pass hundreds of people who could use the Internet to enhance their business. The yard maintenance service, plumber, hairdresser, nail technician…virtually any business. Most have no idea how to benefit from the Internet, or how to go about getting online if they do. We use the power of Web 2.0 technology to make it easier for small businesses with limited resources to get into the e-commerce game and succeed. Our Representatives are the way we plan to reach this massive audience of opportunity”.
