Welcome To Monsterland hosted by Dan Goddard and Maia Macdonald will take place at Monsterland Studio in Brooklyn, NY. Goddard, engineer/producer and owner of Monsterland Studios has been recording bands since high school and has since worked with renowned engineers such as Michael Wagener (Metallica, Motley Crue, X). The studio itself has been around for just under a year, but has attracted local and national acts on the cusp of success.
Macdonald, BreakThru Radio’s Programming Director comes fresh from Wellesley College where she served as a DJ and Program Director. She is currently in the process of building her own home recording studio in New Jersey and starting up an indie label. After traveling through Haiti to study and play folkloric drumming, she has a continuing interest in music of all genres and locales. Between Macdonald and Goddard, BTR’s four million plus listeners can expect a wide variety of tastes and genres.
Screaming Females are a New Brunswick based trio with a pint sized lead singer. But don’t let her size fool you. Alongside her two screaming components, the band provides a quirky sound that has been called the best rock in New Jersey. For Welcome To Monsterland, the band showcased a number of new unreleased never before recorded songs as well as songs off their latest album Baby Teeth, a clash of sounds and influences, an impressive escapade from a young band.
