AthletiShare Signs Top Ranked Ohio State University as Subscriber to DigitalAthlete Recruiting Service

New web-managed recruiting company, that provides free services for high school and junior college football programs, signs top ranked Ohio State as latest subscriber.

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) September 21, 2006 -- AthletiShare, the leader in delivering digital media in athletics, has signed the top ranked Ohio State University football program as its newest subscriber to its DigitalAthlete recruiting service, it was announced today.

The agreement will allow Ohio State to receive high school and junior college game footage instantly throughout the season for recruiting purposes, streamlining their operation and enhancing their ability to communicate with high school coaches and players.

“From our perspective we think AthletiShare is on the very cutting edge of technology and will expedite the recruiting and film evaluation process immensely,” Ohio State’s Director of Football Operations Gary Gillum said. “Not only will they provide us with information in a timely manner, they will expedite the whole process. We will save on mailing costs, supplies and storage of films and DVDs. It is something that I think everyone will eventually phase into. AthletiShare is the wave of the future.”

Through it’s DigitalAthlete service, AthletiShare provides web-managed delivery of digital media, allowing college coaches to receive high school and junior college game footage in DVD quality, not streaming video, for recruiting in a much more efficient manner than ever before. Instead of days or weeks of waiting for tapes to arrive, college coaches can now access game film in minutes via the Internet. The service is free for high schools and junior colleges to use.

High schools and junior colleges throughout the country upload their game film to AthletiShare’s secure server after each game. Subscribing colleges have instant access to that footage and can search for players through a variety of criteria, including school, position, height, weight, speed and grade point average, among others.

Ohio State is the fourth team ranked in the top 25 to subscribe to AthletiShare in the last two weeks, joining California, Arizona State and Nebraska.
