Recovered Agoraphobic Starts Agoraphobia Article Directory on the Internet

A recovered agoraphobic has started a free article directory on the Internet at www.agoraphobia.net. Visitors to the site may read articles to learn more about agoraphobia or contribute original articles of their own.

Clovis, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2006 -- Want to learn more about agoraphobia? Just go to www.agoraphobia.net. At this site, a recovered agoraphobic has started a directory of free articles on agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is the fear of having a panic attack in open spaces or public situations.

Stephen Price, since recovering from agoraphobia, has earned a masters degree in psychology and published original research on anxiety. In May of this year, he created the Agoraphobia Resource Center (found on the web at www.agoraphobia.ws), an informational Web site to help others who suffer from agoraphobia. The new article directory is his latest endeavor.

Visitors to www.agoraphobia.net will find articles on the causes, symptoms, and development of agoraphobia. They will also find articles on treatments, medications and self-help techniques for overcoming this condition.

Besides reading articles to learn more about agoraphobia and how to recover from it, visitors to the site may also contribute their own articles.

“My goal in starting the site,” says Stephen, “is to create a place on the Internet for people to share their knowledge about agoraphobia. I have looked for articles on agoraphobia in many of the multi-subject directories available on the Internet and found surprisingly little in the way of articles focused on agoraphobia. I wanted to change that, and there are 96 articles on this site already.”

Stephen’s motivation for getting information posted on the Internet comes from his personal experience with agoraphobia.

“When I first got agoraphobia,” he recalls, “I didn’t even know what it was. It took me over a year just to get the information I needed to start my recovery. It’s scary to be in the dark about agoraphobia, and I want anyone looking for information on the Web about this dreadful condition to find what they are looking for.”

If you or someone you know has agoraphobia, or you would just like to learn more about this disorder, or have an article to share, check out the new agoraphobia article directory at www.agoraphobia.net.
