Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 22, 2006 -- Today Jackstreet Media and Trout and Partners Ltd. announced plans to develop Jack Trout Interactive, an online offering that will bring the fundamentals of positioning and marketing strategy to a new generation of marketers.

The venture will leverage new media and Web 2.0 technologies to make Trout’s 40 years of experience in advertising and marketing available on demand. After a pilot program called “A Minute in the Mind of Jack Trout” confirmed interest in the format, the venture was expanded with “Jack Trout on Strategy.” This new radio program, available only online and via podcasting, is aimed at applying classical positioning and marketing strategy to the contemporary challenges of marketing in an age of hyper-competition. Listeners get to plug in to strategic marketing discussions between Jack Trout and some of the nation’s leading marketers, business people and thought leaders.

Past programs include discussions with Charlie Hughes, former CEO of Land Rover and Mazda North America; Steve Rubel, PR strategist at Edelman; Chris Anderson, editor of Wired Magazine and author of The Long Tail; Seth Godin, marketing strategist and author of The Purple Cow; and Drew Neisser, CEO of Renegade Marketing. An additional program will come online next month called “Tales From the Marketing Wars” that will complement Jack Trout’s bimonthly column on Forbes.com.

Jack Trout argues that the fundamentals still matter and that they matter more now than ever. “As today’s marketers struggle to cope with overwhelming competition, many are looking for a competitive edge in all of the new tools, technologies and tactics.
