Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) September 27, 2006

Recently nominated by the JPF Music Awards for Singer Songwriter of the Year for his self-titled album and by the LA Music Awards for Rock Singer Songwriter of the Year for his song "Upside Down," Bob Gentry has also made his way to the final round of "StarTomorrow," a music competition produced by NBC. Multiple Grammy winning producer David Foster, who currently appears as a judge on Fox's "Celebrity Duets," provides commentary on the groups in the competition and is rumored to be associated with the show's grand prize, a development deal with a major label.

Beginning with approximately 100 acts, the show, now in its ninth week, has only 25 acts remaining. Gentry, who writes, sings, and plays piano and guitar, won the first two rounds of the competition which began in August. Voting for the final rounds of week ten opens on http://www.startomorrow.com for Gentry on October 2, 2006, and continues weekly as bands are eliminated. Two of his original songs, “Upside Down” and “The Easy Way,” will be randomly played each week as he advances through the remainder of the show.

An interactive program, online voters determine the winners of each round. In addition to choosing their favorites, voters are able to see band interviews and interact with the bands through blogs and comments on performances. The site also provides opportunities for fans to show their loyalties through alliances with fellow fans and interaction with fans of other bands.

The winner of the competition is currently scheduled to be announced November 6, 2006.
