Video Driven HR Company Starts Up “Wave of the Future – Entertainment Industry the Beginning”
MAIAjobs.com went live and offers something new for the entertainment industry. This will be the way Human Resource professionals will look to fill positions in the future, in all industries, according to its founder, Ralph Boral.
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) September 28, 2006 -- MAIAjobs.com is an online human resource tool that stores and instantly edits together video demo reels of those looking for employment or freelance assignments. Applicants register on the site and upload their video reels. Then prospective employers enter in the criteria they are looking for, and the site will instantly assemble all the videos that meet their needs.
Viewers can skip to the videos that they like, as well as fast forward, pause or skip any other typical video control normally on a DVD player. Not only does MAIA offer the unique ability to view video showing the quality of a person’s work, but also allows the viewer to see an applicant’s resume alongside the video.
Why the need for MAIAjobs?
For the applicant, currently they need to spend hundreds of dollars to make copies and mail out demo reels. Then, they have to figure out who is the right person to send it to and often need to navigate corporate structures that set up screening barriers.
On the receiving end, employers get bombarded with dozens if not hundreds of applicants every day. Sorting though is an arduous and time-consuming process.
MAIAjobs saves time and money.
MAIAjobs also address real-life staffing issues that have occurred to everyone in the industry. You have an immediate need to fill. To take an ad and go through the respondents can take weeks. With MAIAjobs, you can instantly look through the database, see who is available as a freelancer, and see the quality of their work.
Another situation that we have all come across is having to replace someone you need to let go. You can’t place an ad since they have not been informed yet, but you still need to have their replacement on hand as soon as you dismiss them. With MAIAjobs, you have a wide range of applicants on hand and quantified without letting the world know you are looking.
MAIAjobs offers privacy and instant value.
MAIAjobs.com is currently aimed at the entertainment industry since its applicants already send out video demo reels, but the process is expandable to all industries. “Video also offers value to jobs outside of the entertainment industry,” says Boral. “Imagine an executive that had a video resume produced about his career that showcased his accomplishments along with testimonials, showing the companies and/or products he had success with. Everyone knows how effective video can be and this is as natural a progression from just a printed resume as the evening news grew out of newspapers.”
MAIAjobs was formed in January 2006 in a joint partnership between Ralph Boral and Eden Capital.
