FastServers.Net, a leading cPanel dedicated server provide, has finalized a massive update effort and secured more than 900 cPanel servers in less than 48 Hours.    The cPanel exploit allowed the possibility of privilege escalation, allowing an attacker with access to a local account to gain root privileges on the server.

The cPanel exploit become public on September 23rd at which time a team of support engineers started the process of updating over 900 managed dedicated servers

. In less than 18 hours, the security response team patched over 70 servers.
