Forget Easyjet... Fly In With Google Earth Before Buying A Villa On The Cote d'Azur
English-owned French real estate agents Riviera Home Finders capitalise on innovative Google Earth technology to allow potential purchasers to swoop in from space to see where their dream homes are situated.
Nice, Cote d'Azur (PRWEB) September 28, 2006 -- Luxury villa specialists Riviera Home Finders are allowing potential purchasers of properties in the South of France to virtually zoom in from space to see where their dream home is situated in a novel use of Internet technology.
This innovative English owned French based real estate agents have written software which re-packages Google Earth's technology to create a special file on their server containing co-ordinates, images and text. This now means that visitors to their website (http://www.Riviera-Home-Finders.com) simply have to click a link which can automatically open Google's "view from space" software and use it to fly to where the property is.
Richard Green, Managing Director of the company said, "What we wanted to achieve was the ability for our clients to be able to orient themselves vis-a-vis key landmarks such as the distance from the coast or the nearest airport enabling them to make a better decision whether a given property might be for them."
Not only can the visitor flyover the area they also can click a small icon which opens to reveal the property description and photograph. It is certainly a useful tool and one which many more realtors are sure to follow.
