The report, entitled Catholic Healthscan 2006, A National Survey of the State of Physician-Hospital Relationships, is based on a research project designed to gain a better understanding of the current state of physician-hospital relationships at CHA member organizations.
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) September 29, 2006 -- Health Strategies & Solutions, Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., and the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA), Washington, DC, and St. Louis, Mo., have published a new report on physician-hospital relationships. The report, entitled Catholic Healthscan 2006, A National Survey of the State of Physician-Hospital Relationships, is based on a research project designed to gain a better understanding of the current state of physician-hospital relationships at CHA member organizations.
In the fall of 2005, Health Strategies & Solutions and CHA conducted a 23-question survey of hospital and physician executives at CHA-member health care organizations. The purpose was to gauge their perspectives on a number of issues including competitive physician initiatives, physician shortages, hospitalists, routine call coverage, managing uninsured patients, joint ventures and revenue-sharing opportunities, physician outreach programs, and operating room turnaround times.
With survey responses from 130 executives at Catholic organizations and additional national research, the report explores possible approaches for enhancing the ways physicians and health care organizations work together to provide quality health care. The report also includes case studies and information about best practices for physician-hospital relationships based on the real-world experiences of providers.
Health Strategies & Solutions is a leading independent health care management consulting firm, providing a variety of services to community hospitals, specialty hospitals, academic medical centers, community hospitals, physician practices, and large health systems, and specialty hospitals.
