CitiApartments and Benefit Magazine Establish Program to Battle Homelessness

$1 a Year Rental

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 29, 2006 -- In an effort to aid nonprofit organizations whose clients are in great need of shelter, CitiApartments, owner and operator of 150 apartment buildings throughout San Francisco has agreed to donate three apartments at a cost of just $1 per year.

The first nonprofits chosen to launch this program are The Raphael House and the Hamilton Family Center, both San Francisco-based organizations dedicated to helping at-risk children and their families achieve stable housing and financial independence, and the AIDS Emergency Fund which provides short-term emergency financial assistance such as helping to pay basic living costs such as rent, utility bills and medical expenses for poverty-level San Franciscans battling HIV/AIDS.

CitiApartments C.O.O., David Raynal, “hopes that this becomes a new model for giving.”

Benefit magazine will be the nexus of this program and will be searching for different companies who are interested in donating furnishings and other services. If you would like to contribute please call 415.433.2345.
