New York, NY (PRWEB) September 30, 2006 -- EO-NY [For Entrepreneurs Only - a global community that enriches members' lives through dynamic peer-to-peer learning and once-in-a-lifetime experiences] has brought in a new Board of Directors with a promise to revitalize the organization and leverage its membership to take an even greater leadership position with New York’s Entrepreneurial market.
The New York chapter of EO has brought in seven [???] new business leaders to enhance its current Board of Directors. These include small and mid-sized business owners from EO’s membership, and represent a wide range of industries and business styles.
Today, New York State is home to more than 1.8 million small businesses. With more than 60,000 new businesses started in 2004 alone, and an estimated 1,780,000 small businesses in existence, EO represents the cream of the crop. Its members must have minimum annual sales of $1MM, which means they have weathered the trials and tribulations of starting a business in New York City, and have the kind of experience that will help other business owners succeed – a key to EO-NYC’s success as a peer-to-peer business network. Specifically, EO-NYC represents business owners with:
Total sales of member companies - $1,357 million
Average sales of member companies – $25.49 Million
Total employees of all member companies – 1,246
Average member company employees – 24
Average member age – 39
Among its key initiatives for 2006 and 2007, are included such projects as its The State of New York’s Entrepreneur – A member study to better define New York’s Small Business Owner and Entrepreneur.
“Our new board will greatly enhance our ability to take an even greater roll in New York’s small and mid-sized business market,” says Chris Bryant – EO-NY’s Chapter President. “Our goal is to leverage the diversity within our membership, to provide greater insight and solutions to New York’s business owners.”
