According to a survey of more than 8,500 singles, 1/3 of women admit to having gone to a sports bar just to meet men. Guys, next time you’re watching your favorite team, look around and see if the women next to you are more interested in the game or in you.
Gone are the days when women are entirely against football. Though many women still don’t enjoy the sport, a growing number have become huge fans. The survey from It’s Just Lunch found that 71% of women would be loyal to their favorite team and cheer for them even if that meant rooting against their date’s team.
Men are still more serious about football, if their date was talking throughout an important football game, 57% of singles would talk to their date, but turn all conversation back to football. 43% of men would ask their date out again, just not to another sporting event.
90% of women said they would not pretend to know about a team to impress their date. While many women like watching an occasional game, they still prefer that the men they date watch sports in moderation. 26% of women say they are OK with their significant other watching 2-3 games a week, but not more, while another 41% of women say 1 game a week is more than enough.
