The Inland Empire Diversity Career & Job Fair is coming to Riverside Roller City 2001 on Wednesday, October 4 with more than 2,000 jobs. Some of the fastest-growing career fields in the Inland Empire are education, health care and law enforcement. Job-seekers will find work in these and other fields at the Diversity Job Fair.

Riverside, CA (PRWEB) September 30, 2006 -- Employers seeking to fill more than 2,000 of the hottest jobs in San Bernardino & Riverside Counties will come to the Inland Empire Diversity Career & Job Fair.

This Diversity Job Fair is Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Roller City 2001, 10765 Magnolia Ave. Riverside.

A recent survey shows the highest-growth occupations are interior design, loading goods and equipment into trucks, train cars and airplanes, all other forms of transportation work removing hazardous materials, insurance claim adjusters, examiners and investigators, merchandise displayers and window trimmers, drywall and ceiling tire installers, occupational therapy assistants, and special education teachers.

These jobs the survey estimates will grow from 5 to 5.5 percent annually through 2012.

“Almost every profession in the Inland Empire will need me workers over the next few years,” said Dolores Armstead, president of the Inland Empire African-American Chamber of Commerce. “People should not have to commute to outside the Inland Empire because they’re so needed here in their own communities.”

In addition to the careers growing at exceptionally rapid rates, there are jobs with many openings every year. These will have the most openings through 2012.

They are in office and administrative support, sales, transportation, food preparation and service, education (including training and library occupations), retail sales and production.

It’s estimated there will be a need for more than 200,000 office workers and more than 200,000 construction workers in San Bernardino and Riverside counties alone by 2012 . Sales, transportation, food service, education and production will need more than 100,000 workers each. Retail sales careers are estimated to be not far behind in demand, with a need for 99,580 people in this field in 2012.

Those looking for jobs in education, especially higher education, have a great chance of finding what they are looking for at the Inland Empire Diversity Career & Job Fair on October 4. They’ll be able to look at the offerings of Moreno Valley Unified School District, the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, University of Phoenix, Pomona College, and National College.

Law Enforcement is another career that will find quite a few employers looking for people to fill positions at the Inland Empire Diversity Career & Job Fair. Los Angeles Public Safety, the Riverside and San Bernardino County sheriff’s departments and the Rialto and Riverside police departments will be there. Allied Barton Security will recruit at the job fair as well.

And yet another career that will be hot at the Job Fair is health care. San Bernardino Behavioral Health, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Universal Nursing Systems will recruit.

Other employers, needing workers in diverse fields, will be Food 4 Less, ESRI, Quill Corporation, Laser Radio 101.7, College of Automotive Management, Peppermint Ridge, Temps Plus, and X103.9 Broadcasting.
