More Convergence? First There Were E-mails, Now V-Mails

Mediasource® V-Mail announces new technology and service to combine text email with dynamic video messages. The V-Mail does not require a browser to load and is not an uncertain attachment yet it plays right away.

Las Vegas, Nevada. (PRWEB) January 5, 2006 -- Mediasource® News, Inc has announced the launch of yet another cyber convergence in the world of corporate communication. The Mediasource® V-mail now combines the traditional text email with a clients embedded video message that does not require a browser to load and is not an attachment. The service offering is designed to compliment and bring marketing and PR messages to a new dimension. The new service is set to launch Jan. 5th in Las Vegas at the time of the CES(Consumer Electronics Show.

The Mediasource® V-mail service developed by Michael Murray appears simple to set up and provides the user with a multitude of design and graphic options. However, “The key factor in this development is the low cost and tracking ability of the product” Says, Joel Harris, Marketing Director for the Company. You create and send from the desktop, where and when you want to.

We at Sea Earth Society are constantly raising funds for environmental projects which are often in remote areas… instead of our old style of newsletter to members and donors… We can now V-mail our newsletters and are able to show video of projects in progress in real live and tangible results of how donations are being used.
The new service is targeting those organizations needing to stay in touch with opt-in and newsletter subscribers, adding the dynamic touch of “see it and read it” to their communications. Although the company already sees strong interest from customer service departments for live service bulletins, marketing and PR for new product launches and possibly political messages.

One such non-profit user of the V-Mail service explains it this way: …”We at Sea Earth Society are constantly raising funds for environmental projects which are often in remote areas… instead of our old style of newsletter to members and donors… We can now V-mail our newsletters and are able to show video of projects in progress in real live and tangible results of how donations are being used.”

Mediasourcenews, Inc. in 2006 will celebrate its 20th year in business, creating and distributing content, and marketing communications through VNR’s, news packages and commercials.

Company President, Ken Reed states that Mediasource® V-mail is one of six paths of content delivery it had been developing. Others include its VideoChalkboard tm for delivery of “Direct to Classroom": K-12 Educational Programming via Mediasource® Education Channel and a wireless and handheld cell application for the delivery of content.

The Trends Research Institute predicts “online TV, the ultimate in media convergence, will signal the decline of the communication industry’s monopoly on broadcast news and entertainment.”

"We are hoping to stake our claim in the coming changes in broadband and wireless delivery of content." Reed, added.
