Week 1 NFL Playoffs Odds and Predictions (The Wild Card Playoffs)

Gambling911.com features early NFL Wild Card Playoffs odds for both the NFC and AFC plus previews and predictions for Week 1 games

Miami Beach, FL (PRWEB) January 3, 2006 -- Gambling911.com, the worldwide internet gambling authority, has released its previews, predictions and important odds information related to the Week 1 NFL Wild Card Playoffs.

On tap for the weekend are four games that feature the New York Giants hosting the Carolina Panthers. New York was an early -3 favorite in this matchup.

Washington managed to squeeze into the Playoffs and head on down to Tampa Bay where they face the Buccaneers as a +2 1/2 early underdog.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are listed as the biggest dog during Week 1 of the NFL Wild Card Playoffs. Some online sportsbooks had them as a +7 1/2 dog on the road against the New England Patriots. Weather could play a role though long range forecasts at press time only suggested temperatures hovering around 30 degrees with partly cloudy skies. This was subject to change of course.

And finally, the Bengals were a lone home dog with odds around +3 facing the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many believed Cincinnati's defense had too many holes to get them beyond Week 1 of the NFL Playoffs. Few could argue with their explosive offense however.

Online sportsbooks over the NFL regular season got hammered week after week by an unusual number of favorites winning. As such, Gambling911.com believes linesmakers will focus heavily on underdog wins by fine tuning odds. Week 1 includes three examples where the line appears skewed towards the underdog.
