The Art of Leonardo Pereznieto Stands out at the Florence Biennale Art Exhibit 2005
Leonardo Pereznieto´s innovative figurative sculptures in transparent resin and illuminated from the inside impressed the public as well as the art experts attending the Florence Biennale Art Exhibit 2005.
Florence, Italy (PRWEB) January 8, 2006 -- The world renowned exhibit of contemporary art took place in the historic Fortezza da Basso, located in the center of Florence.
Mr. John Spike, who is the director of the Biennale as well as a well-known art critic and magazine writer, stated publicly about Leonardo Pereznieto´s work:
"When you add to a beautiful art piece so much technical difficulty and this is carried out perfectly, what we have is an impressive work of art"
Among the numerous guests present at the opening of the biennale were the Mexican Counsul, as well as representatives of embassies of many countries.
Leonardo Pereznieto, who was recently awarded by the international art festival in New York City, has exihbited in prominent gallereis of cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Florence, London, Montecarlo, México, among others and has delivered lectures in forums such as the Celebrity Centre Florence and the University of Michigan.
Pereznieto is also recognized for having done sculptures for the fashoion world. He recently delivered a sculpture in New York City to Esteban Cortazar, who has dressed celebrities like Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Beyonce, and Paris Hilton.
Together with writer Claudia Moscovici, Leonardo Pereznieto is cofounder of the cultural movement of postromanticism (see www.postromanticism.com). Postromanticism is a contemporary artistic movement that places passion at the center of human life, art and poetry. In painting and sculpture it emphasizes representational art that depicts the beauty of human figures and evokes sensuality and the richness of human emotions. Leonardo's sculpture harks us back to the motifs of romanticism: the muse, the angel--which are evocative and beautiful in their own right only to reshape them to our dreams; to make them palatable for our world. He captures the beauty of youth, only to endow it with its own thoughts and dreams. He captures the pose and delicacy of femininity, only to allow women to fly towards their own visions.
The work of Leonardo Pereznieto is also inspired by the writings of philosopher L. Ronald Hubbard who wrote:
"A culture is only as great as its dreams and its dreams are dreamed by artists."
