From January 27 to 29 there will be a great party in Vienna celebrating Mozart`s 250th birthday. It will be an open party for everyone.

(PRWEB) January 8, 2006 -- From January 27 to 29 there will be a great party in Vienna celebrating Mozart`s 250th birthday. It will be an open party for everyone. Mozart`s birthday will be celebrated all over the city with music, films, and several other, sometimes surprising themes.

There are five different tours:
Mozart Friends and Enemies
Mozart Viennese and Cosmopolitan
Mozart Art and Love
Mozart Life and Death
Mozart Yesterday and Today

Each of these special Mozart Tours contains four different events and a special children's programme. The events, covers orchestral concerts, chamber music, Songs and aria, readings, cabaret, cinema, New Music, and sacred music. There will be a wide range of cultural performers . The most important concert halls and theatres will host favourite performers, international stars, and young talents.

Most of the famous performers are well known also outside the borders of Austria and are not only local cultural celebrities.
In addition to this attractive cultural programme for everyone, other highlights will be offered in a large marquee on the Stephansplatz. Finally, the "Mozart Tourists" will regroup in the early evening at a large sound installation on Maria-Theresien-Platz.

·Choose your tour. Wander from theatre to theatre through the wintry streets of Vienna and experience a range of new encounters with Mozart. The five tours will take place in identical form on 27, 28, and 29 January 2006.
·All your tour info at a glance. Detailed tour itineraries as well as a handy timetable and theatre overview can be found on the pages "Tour 01" to "Tour 05". The tours are colour-coded for easy identification.
·Only EUR 19.- for four events. A tour with four different events is only EUR 19.- (reduced rate: EUR 14.-). If you would rather not book a complete tour, you can select individual events only (individual tickets: EUR 7.-/reduced: EUR 5.-).
·Using trip tickets on public transport; reduced rates. You can use your tickets for the Party for Mozart on the public transport facilities of the Wiener Linien (valid from 2 hours before to 6 hours after the start of the event). Reduced rates are available for school pupils, trainees, students up to the age of 26, people doing military or community service, disabled persons, and unemployed persons (proof of eligibility must be submitted at the box office in the Theater an der Wien).
·Free admission to the Sound Fusions. Each trip ends in the evening with a Sound Fusion on Maria-Theresien-Platz between the Museum of Art History and the Museum of Natural History. Help yourself to a cup of hot punch and enjoy a new look at Mozart's music.
