DigitalCustom Launches Its “I Am Art” In-Store Promotion Campaign for Specialty Retailers Who Sell Photo-to-Art Products

New promotional campaign provides retailers with striking displays of customized personal art for consumers and designers.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) January 22, 2006 -- DigitalCustom Group, Inc. today announced the launch of its 2006 marketing campaign called “I Am Art.”

DigitalCustom's “I Am Art” campaign promotes custom digital image editing, giclée printing and custom framing to create striking new forms of consumer and business wall art.

The campaign features an integrated set of store materials, showing how digital art techniques are now used to transform consumer photographs into bold, personalized statements. The goal of the promotional campaign is to stimulate consumer interest in custom digital art services that are offered by specialty retailers in partnership with DigitalCustom. These services include oil, pastel and watercolor photo-renderings, a variety of 1970s-style "pop art" pieces, and a full line of custom printing services.

Digital "photo-to-art" products originate as an amateur or professional photograph, or even as a drawing. The original image is interpreted and edited by a skilled digital artist, who is trained in both traditional and digital art techniques. The striking result is printed with studio-grade printing technology on fine art substrates, such as matte drawing paper, watercolor paper or canvas. The result is an astounding personalized work at a fraction of the cost of a commissioned portrait.

The "I Am Art" campaign is designed to show that traditional art and today's popular culture may be fused to create breathtaking images of high impact, lasting value and artistic merit.

DigitalCustom’s Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Makoff, commented: “Our 2006 'I Am Art' campaign breaks the historical mold in custom image editing. We've asked our artists to use their digital paintbrushes to create creative works that are, at once, both traditional and edgy. We called the campaign 'I Am Art' to draw a link between the individualism of today's youth and timeless aesthetic principles."

DigitalCustom provides complete custom image editing and printing services, including all of the "I Am Art" products, through specialty retailers in the U.S. and Japan.
