Los Angeles, CA – January 10, 2006 Mother of the adult home party revolution and owner of LA’s female-operated adult stores, Judy Levy, has rallied together the world’s top sex educators and adult industry stars for a good cause. This “Celebration of Love and Healthy Sexuality,” will not only herald the 25th anniversary of Judy Levy’s pioneering work, but will generate proceeds for the Children of the Night charity headed by Dr. Lois Lee.
The event, taking place on Wednesday, February 2, 2006 at the Erotic Museum in Hollywood, California, will offer a series of talks, and include appearances by the adult industry’s top stars. The celebration will include refreshments, book signings, and promises to be informative, yet festive. Some of the educators and authors set to speak at the event include:
Dr. Betty Dodson Author of “Sex for One”
Lou Pagett “How to be a Great Lover”
Dr. Ian Kerner Author “She Comes First”
Dr. Diana Wiley Sex Therapist
Nina Hartley Adult Film Star
Having received a flurry of recent media attention including an appearance on “Q Television,” and a feature in the upcoming May issue of “Self Magazine,” Judy Levy-Dawson continues to stand at the forefront of healthy sex education, offering advice, tips, and counseling to women, men and couples on the subject of intimacy and sexuality.
When asked about her ground-breaking event, Judy explains “This event, while celebrating the anniversary of The Love Boutique, will benefit Children of the Night, and also kick off Love Month. In my stores there will activities going on all February in celebration of Love Month. I feel strongly that there should be more than one day to celebrate our love for each other, therefore I’ve deemed Love Month the opportunity to practice expanding our love for our partners and the planet.”
Children of the Night is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1979 to assist children between the ages of 11 and 17 who are forced to prostitute on the streets for food and a place to sleep. Since 1979 the organization has rescued girls and boys from prostitution and the domination of vicious pimps. The organization has an extremely high success rate for its clients.
The Erotic Museum, located at 6714 Hollywood Boulevard, just east of Highland, contains over 30 displays of sexually-charged art, artifacts, interactive exhibits and multimedia from around the world.
