Digital Media Exchange enters into agreements with Intel and Intel Capital

Digital Media Exchange collaborates with Intel to optimize gaming solutions for Intel-based platforms and promote online PC-gaming in the Philippines. Intel Capital has also acquired a warrant to invest in DME parent company Digital Media International, Inc.

Manila, Philippines (PRWEB) January 10, 2006 -- Digital Media Exchange, Inc. (DME), a company that publishes digital entertainment on the Internet, today announced that it has signed a technical and marketing agreement with Intel Semiconductor Ltd. to collaborate on optimizing DME’s online game solutions for Intel-based platforms and promote online PC gaming in the Philippines.

Earlier this year, Intel Capital, Intel’s venture investment program, also acquired a warrant giving it the right to invest in Digital Media International, Inc. (DMII), the parent company of DME.

“Consumers today are acquiring huge amounts and varieties of digital media on their PCs and increasingly demanding a rich entertainment experience,” said Ricky Banaag, country manager of Intel Philippines. “Gaming, in particular, is a strong segment in the Philippines and Intel is continuously looking at ways to meet the gaming community’s demand for high-performance computing platforms. Intel’s collaborative effort with gaming service providers in the Philippines complements Intel’s digital home vision and gives gamers more realistic game play by providing technologies that bring the arcade into the home.”

“Our collaboration with Intel solidifies our commitment to provide world-class online games and digital media content to our customers,” said Scott Countryman, CEO of DME. “Intel’s support helps improve our current technology infrastructure and at the same time provides assistance in expanding our strategic business relationships to other Southeast Asian markets.”
