Southwest Airlines Adds Flights for Mardi Gras
Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) announced today that the airline will increase its New Orleans service to support this year's Mardi Gras celebration.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 17, 2006 -- Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) announced today that the airline will increase its New Orleans service to support this year's Mardi Gras celebration. Over eight days surrounding Mardi Gras 2006, Southwest Airlines will add 36 (18 roundtrip) flights into and out of New Orleans, representing nearly 5,000 additional seats for tourists to visit the Big Easy and take part in the traditional Mardi Gras celebrations. The special service breaks down as follows:
Friday, February 24, 2006:
- One additional roundtrip flight between Dallas and New Orleans
- One additional roundtrip flight between Orlando and New Orleans
- Three additional roundtrip flights between Houston Hobby and New Orleans
Saturday, February 25, 2006:
- One additional roundtrip flight between Dallas and New Orleans
- One additional roundtrip flight between Orlando and New Orleans
- One additional roundtrip flight between Houston Hobby and New Orleans
Wednesday, March 1, 2006:
- Two additional roundtrip flights between Houston Hobby and New Orleans
Friday, March 3, 2006:
- One additional roundtrip flight between Dallas and New Orleans
- One additional roundtrip flight between Orlando and New Orleans
- Three additional roundtrip flights between Houston Hobby and New Orleans
Saturday, March 4, 2006:
- One roundtrip flight between Dallas and New Orleans
- One roundtrip flight between Orlando and New Orleans
- One roundtrip flight between Houston Hobby and New Orleans
