Woodlands Texas Realtors Among Nation's First Video Podcasters

Bruce and Diane Kink, Realtors in The Woodlands Texas create a video podcast feed of their real estate inventory with the help of tech start up MLPodcast.com.

The Woodlands, TX (PRWEB) January 19, 2006 -- With the help of a local web media company, Diane and Bruce Kink, Realtors with Keller Williams in The Woodlands are blazing a technology trail that takes advantage of the rapidly growing trend of podcasting.

Coined as combination of iPod and broadcasting, podcasting is a means of delivering audio and in this case, video content via the Internet. What makes it different than current web technologies is the ability for users to subscribe to a free broadcast and have the individual episodes of the broadcast updated automatically on their computers.

Since introducing the ability to subscribe to podcasts in their iTunes software just a few short weeks ago, Apple computer has reported millions of new subscriptions. The Kinks are working with Sitetraffic.Com, a local creative studio and marketing team. Dubbed MLPodcast, Sitetraffic provides a turn key publishing service that converts multiple listings to music videos. The videos are combined with ML data and converted to episodes that are added to the Kink’s broadcast feed. The feed can be viewed via free iTunes software and a number of other podcast capable web browsers and readers. They are also formatted to work on the new 5th generation video iPods and other handheld video devices, making it easy for prospective home buyers to view properties at their leisure.

“It was a no brainer” - Bruce Kink
Bruce Kink was quoted as saying, “When we saw our first video podcast and how easy it was for an end user to find and interact with the content, it was a no brainer for us to get on board with MLPodcast, In fact we decided immediately to begin the process of placing our entire property inventory in our MLPodcast feed.”

“Podcasting is truly a unique Internet technology. The underlying technology used to deliver a broadcast feed is changing the way users find and view media content. We developed a dedicated system of publishing to take advantage this new distribution channel. Placing a file on the web in the hopes of your target market finding it is becoming an increasingly difficult task. Even if you have the budget to draw traffic to the content, it still isn’t delivered nearly as efficiently as it is through podcasting.” Stated Mike Price Sitetraffic’s creative director and MLPodcast.com publishing chief.

Kink stated “Our business grows substantially each year due to our aggressive adoption of new marketing techniques, we’re confident that podcasting is going to become an integral part of our unique property marketing system” The Kink Team’s podcast is a free subscription and can be accessed at their web site, www.TheKinkTeam.com.
