World’s Largest Pricing Conference returns to San Francisco

The Professional Pricing Society will hold its 2nd Annual Pan-European Pricing Conference in Paris on June 14-16, 2006. This event sold out in 2005, drawing corporate executives and pricing professionals from around the world.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 19, 2006 -- The 2,000+ member Professional Pricing Society (PPS) will host a two day Pan-European Pricing Conference preceded by three one-day Pricing Certification Workshops in Paris on June 14–16. Workshop topics include Core Skills for the European Pricer, B2B Pricing Workshop & Retail Pricing Workshop.

This conference will bring together today’s best pricing practitioners and experts from around the globe. These Pricing Leaders will not only share their expertise about their industry and markets, but make the information relevant to pricing executives and professionals facing global and cross-border pricing challenges.

The field of pricing is moving to the forefront of everyone’s agenda
This year’s event promises to be even bigger. “The field of pricing is moving to the forefront of everyone’s agenda,” said Eric Mitchell, PPS President. “And the Paris conference is much bigger than our initial program in 2005 as we’ve added a third day. As a result, there are a total of 25 speakers compared with 11 speakers last year. Also, you now have a choice of 3 breakout tracks each day.”

This year’s conference “Pricing In Paris”, is highlighted by plenary addresses from renowned pricing experts Stephan Butscher of Simon-Kucher & Partners, London; Bernard Demeure of Mercer Management Consulting, France; Tom Nagel, Partner, the Monitor Group USA; and Paul Hunt, President of the Pricing Solutions Ltd., Canada. This international team will bring the best of pricing strategy and techniques to the conference.

In addition, peer practitioners will share their best practices. They come from Siemens Communications, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Hewlett Packard, Medtronic Europe, SAS Institute, Schlumberger, Adecco and Ideal Standard. They are joined by top pricing experts from McKinsey & Co., PriceGAin, Deloitte Consulting LLC, Monitor Group, The Price Improvement Team, Carrus Management, and Simon-Kucher & Partners.

The workshops hosted in Paris are an integral part of the rigorous CPP requirements. The Certified Pricing Professional designation (CPP) is a new multi-staged program designed to better support, educate, and elevate the pricing professional. The CPP designation will be recognized and respected worldwide by business leaders as the benchmark for executives who have gained in depth pricing knowledge and understanding. “We've partnered with the best corporate and faculty experts available globally to create the only, Certification Training Program available in pricing", says Mitchell. "Pricers with the CPP designation will not only have a working understanding of pricing strategies and techniques, but also have training in specific pricing issues unique to their industry. We will accomplish this with a broad curriculum taught by leaders in the pricing profession followed by rigorous testing” says Mitchell.
