Miss Amy Breaks Ticket Sales Record At World Café Live

Miss Amy & Her Big Kids Band debuted at World Café Live before a record setting crowd on Saturday, January 14, 2006, exceeding all previous ticket sales for regional and local artists performing in the Peanut Butter & Jams music series held at this renowned Philadelphia venue.

(PRWEB) January 21, 2006 -- With a cheering crowd in attendance at the critically acclaimed World Café Live main stage in Philadelphia this weekend Miss Amy & Her Big Kids Band set a new record, exceeding all previous ticket sales for regional and local artists participating in the Peanut Butter & Jams music series, and on par with several of the nationally known artists such as Trout Fishing in America and Dan Zanes. “Miss Amy rocked the house”, exclaimed more than one adoring fan as the crowd savored her music, which was presented in an interactive hour-long family program.

World Café Live, the venue that has featured music greats such as Chic Corea, Leon Russell, Ricky Lee Jones, and Nancy Sinatra hosts a Saturday morning family series called Peanut Butter & Jams, “a weekly lunchtime concert series for kids and the people who drive them”. The brainchild of Stephanie Mayers, World Café Live’s Marketing Coordinator, this family oriented series has hosted a number of nationally known artists, including Milkshake, GRAMMY winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marks, and current GRAMMY nominee Ralph Covert.

Miss Amy performed music from her GRAMMY submitted CDs as well as new music from her latest CD project scheduled for release later this year.
