Expansion…Huge Success! Sales… Ever Increasing! At The End Of The Day…Going Downhill!

Far too many times, self-employed and small business owners are overjoyed at increasing gross revenues and their expansion plans. They see more coming in but at the end of the day, they are left with less than they did before that wonderful increase in sales and expansion plans.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 22, 2006 -- The National Business Association (NBA) today stressed the importance of building a business on strong fundamental basics. It urged the small business community to utilize time tested tools that guide a business through its life cycle. One such tool is a profit and loss projection also known as an operating plan forecast.

“Far too many times, self-employed and small business owners are overjoyed at increasing gross revenues and their expansion plans. They see more coming in but at the end of the day, they are left with less than they did before,” said Raj Nisankarao, president of the association.

The NBA designed an Operating Plan Forecast (OPF) which is available for download on its Website (www.nationalbusiness.org). The NBA OPF is offered to the small business community at no charge. It can yield multiple benefits to the small business owner. The OPF is a valuable planning tool. Once the planning phase has been completed, the OPF becomes a key management tool in controlling the business operations to achieve the results planned for.

The NBA has formed strategic alliances with governmental agencies to help the small business community. Its partnership with SCORE (www.score.org)– Counselors to America's Small Businesses and the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) (http://www.asbdc-us.org/) help members receive counseling, mentoring, and invaluable business tools through these organizations. Small business owners should take the time to call on these organizations for counseling in creating a business plan, marketing analysis, financial planning or just about any issue pertaining to a small business.
