Bellaire, TX (PRWEB) January 25, 2006 -– Pivot Point Advisors, LLC is an asset management and research firm with a focus on managing client assets in systematic stock strategies. Our computer driven portfolios - Dynamic Value, Conservative Growth, and Diversified Income - offer transparent, liquid and customizable alternatives to mutual funds. Stock selection for these portfolios is based on a proprietary stock screening algorithm.
Pivot Point Advisors’ systematic trading strategies are part of a growing trend towards more disciplined and unemotional stock selection methods. Such strategies tend to outperform the market in difficult environments because trading decisions are not clouded by media hype or market psychology.
In 2005 the Dynamic Value Strategy returned 15.45% net of all fees and trading costs(*). The S&P 500 returned 4.91% including dividends over the same period of time. The Dynamic Value Strategy consists of approximately 20 stocks with attractive valuations, strong price performance and positive outlook.
For 2005, the Conservative Growth Strategy returned 1.86% net of all fees and trading costs (*). This portfolio seeks to identify approximately 20 stocks with strong historical growth and reasonable valuations.
The Diversified Income Portfolio was launched in June of 2005. Unlike the other portfolios, it focuses on providing tax advantaged returns and maximum diversification. Stock selection for this portfolio involves a level of discretion in an effort to minimize portfolio turnover. This strategy has returned 4.05% since inception compared to 5.82% for the S&P 500.
Current performance updates for all strategies are available on our website, www.pivotpointadvisors.com.
Pivot Point Advisors has experienced approximately 50% growth of assets under management during 2005. Currently we manage over $20 million of client assets. Our more liquidity constrained stock strategies have capacity for at least $150-$250 million. While our strategies tend to emphasize smaller stocks, they are designed to exclude stocks that are too illiquid to trade in size. The median market capitalization of the Dynamic Value and Conservative Growth Portfolios is typically about $1 billion. For comparison, the median market capitalization of the Russell 2000 is $540 million. The Diversified Income Portfolio generally only contains companies with market capitalization above $2 billion.
