The phosphorescent powder I use in the casting process is non-toxic, non-radioactive, and environmentally friendly. The best way to charge the pendant is to use light sources rich in UV rays such as sunlight, black light, and halogen lamps. Typical household bulbs (Tungsten) take longer to recharge, since their UV output is low. Sun light (5 minutes), UV (Black Light 5 -10 minutes), Normal light (20-30 minutes). The pendant charges indefinitely and has a minimum 10 year shelf life.
