Mill Valley, CA (PRWEB) October 2, 2006 -- What began in 2001 as a new mom’s personal quest to improve her fitness level after having a baby, without the need to hire a babysitter or leave her newborn child in daycare, has now become a thriving international business, Baby Boot Camp®, celebrating its 5th anniversary. To commemorate the 5th anniversary, Baby Boot Camp in Southern Marin will hold a special event on Friday, October 13th including a free class, raffle drawing, gift bag giveaway, and complimentary refreshments. The event will be held at Blackie's Pasture in Tiburon (at the intersection of Tiburon Blvd. and Pine Ter Streets) from 10:00-11:30am.
Hope Timberlake, Baby Boot Camp Southern Marin owner, will donate $10 for every new student who attends the anniversary class to “Search For The Cause,” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). “New moms crave fitness and time with friends to help them heal physically and mentally from the challenges of motherhood,” said Timberlake. “I’m delighted to support moms on their quest for improved health and fitness and at the same time support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This innovative stroller-fitness program helps moms regain or enhance pre-pregnancy fitness levels and meet the physical challenges of parenting by emphasizing strength training in a supportive environment. Baby Boot Camp balances the fitness needs of new moms with their desire to spend time with their baby and other moms.
Now, after five years of growth and expansion, Baby Boot Camp has over 300 locations covering the U.S., Australia, Bermuda and Canada, with a member reach of over 15,000. Baby Boot Camp licenses their program to qualified moms and trainers across the country and around the world, and is currently adding approximately 5 to 10 new franchises per month.
