New York, NY (PRWEB) October 3, 2006
Things are gaining speed for Land Surf, Inc. The creators of Pumgo—the first human-powered, push free skateboard—have increased their distribution outlets from 100 stores to over 300 stores this summer alone.
This increase is largely due to major retailers Modell’s and Dunham’s, who recently began carrying the innovative toy. Pumgos are also sold by a dozen internet stores including the popular Discovery Channel Store (http://shopping.discovery.com/?jzid=40588002-19-0) and CBS SportsLine.com http://www.cbssportsstore.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=pumgo&origkw=pumgo) as well as many top sporting goods companies’ online stores including Dick’s, The Sports Authority, City Sports, G.I. Joe’s, MC Sports, Olympia Sports, and Sport Chalet. Major catalog stores such as Hammacher Schlemmer will carry Pumgo in this Christmas. For the people in New York area, please check out Pumgo in FAO Schwartz soon. Of course, the Pumgo’s appeal is not only found Stateside. The toy happens to be sold in Japan, South Africa, and South Korea.
Proving to be a company with heart as well, Land Surf donated more than 200 Pumgo’s to children’s summer camps, including Boy Scout camps, Air force base kids camps, and YMCAs. Better still, in an effort to reach the demands of the littlest Pumgo fans, the company has designed a “mini-Pumgo” for children aged 5 to 10 years-old. It will be available at the end of 2006.
After such a spectacular summer, there is no telling how much growth Land Surf and their Pumgo will see before the year’s end. More and more kids will enjoy this safe and fun way to surf on land and get a lot of physical exercises at the same time. For many parents like innovative mechanics, they will enjoy Pumgo’s unique mechanical design and chose Pumgo as the first 4WD “car” for their kids.
